Rajmohini Devi

A temple dedicated to the social worker Mata Rajmohini Devi has been constructed in Govindpur village, located within the Pratappur development block of Surajpur district. Active from 1913 to 1994, Mata Rajmohini was a distinguished tribal social reformer and Gandhian figure in Chhattisgarh; she undertook *padyatras* (foot marches) to raise awareness among the tribal communities and worked to awaken social consciousness by vigorously opposing substance abuse, ritualistic animal sacrifice, and oppression.
