Devgarh

An ancient Ardhanarishvara Shivling is enshrined in a Shiva temple situated on the banks of the Ren River, near Devgarh village in the Udaipur block of Sarguja district. It is believed to have been constructed sometime between the 8th and 11th centuries CE. A fair is held here on the occasion of Shivratri. Both the tribal community and the local residents harbor deep and sincere reverence for Lord Mahadev.
