    Maheshpur :

    At Adinath Tila—located in Maheshpur within the Udaipur Tehsil of Sarguja District—thousands of sculptures, dating back to approximately the 9th or 10th century, including idols of Lord Ganesha, are preserved and enshrined.

    Mainpat:

    Manpat, famously known as the “Shimla of the region,” is a prominent tourist destination. Here, alongside Tibetan culture, key attractions include Ultapani, Mehta Point, Tiger Point, Fish Point, and the “Shaking Earth” (Jaljali).

    Ramgarh :

    The world-renowned ancient theater—Jogimara—and the ancient caves of Sitabengra are situated in the Udaipur development block of the Sarguja district headquarters. This site is the creative ground of the great poet Kalidasa.

    Devgarh

    An ancient Ardhanarishwar Shivling is enshrined in Devgarh village, Udaipur, in the Sarguja district. It is believed to have been constructed sometime between the 8th and 11th centuries CE.

    Satmahal :

    In the village of Kalaksha Bhadwahi, situated within the Udaipur Tehsil of Sarguja district, stands a cluster of seven ancient brick temples in a dilapidated state. These structures are believed to have been constructed during the 8th or 9th century.

    Devatikra

    A four-armed idol of Lord Ganesha is enshrined in the village of Devtikra, located within the Udaipur Tehsil of Sarguja District. This idol is considered to be extremely rare. Its creation is estimated to date back to approximately the 10th or 11th century.

    Maharanipur:

    The ancient Deur Temple, dating back to around the 11th or 12th century, is situated in the village of Maharanipur in the Sarguja district. From an archaeological perspective, this site is of considerable significance.

    Mahamaya Temple:

    The famous temple of Mata Mahamaya—the Goddess of Faith—is situated at the district headquarters of Ambikapur. The temple of Samlaya Mata is located approximately one kilometer away from the Mahamaya Temple.

    Takia Mazar:

    The shrine of Baba Murad Shah and Baba Muhammad Shah is located in the village of Takiya, adjacent to the Ambikapur district headquarters, where an annual Urs celebration is held.

    Thinthini Pakhna:

    An ancient stone—known as ‘Pakhna’—is situated in the village of Koteya, located near Darima Airport at the district headquarters of Ambikapur. It emits a distinct ‘thinthini’ sound when struck with a stone. This site serves as a major recreational spot within the district.
